World's greatest loser

I didn't do anything special today. It's wasted.
Though I had to pay some bills and did some useful paperwork, but that was sooo not enough for ONE WHOLE DAY!

We were invited to my uncle's father-in-law's birthday party. All we did (except for eating excellent bbq) was playing UNO :) Me, my two cousins and their two cousins. They kept forgetting some basic rules (like challenging the wild draw four card) and when reminded, they snapped at me that I was making new rules on the spot. Ridiculous! But we had fun indeed. Then Arthur suggested playing the Donkey cardgame (I was so happy, it was something connected with Rach and Irene, they actually taught me this game) and I never lost it!

When we got home (half an hour ago) I skyped my mom to see what's new. And then I got a message on fb from Lila, Renu's previous au pair. She assured me that the family is fantastic (well, I never doubted :) ) and gave me some advice on my luggage. She said that English weather is always 4 seasons in one. So I guess I'll always need to put on a summer top, then a hoody on top of it, then a raincoat. And have a warm scarf in my bag. Haha.

And now I am talking to Anu on skype. I didn't realise I missed her that much until now! =) Hope she's not bored with all my overexcited talks!

About my friends forever!

Yet another pleasant news!

I informed Rachael, my Scottish friend forever, that I'm coming to London and she was thrilled! She said I made her week (whah? a week? not a month at least? :) )

I just can't wait to see her again. And Irene, my Spanish friend forever! She said she wanted to go to London in winter!

We're going to have the time of our lives!
sounds kinda creepy :)

Pleasant/present rush.

So, what am I up to?

I tried to tidy up my room and now there's even bigger mess than before. Stupida me :)

Then I went out with two of my good friends and we had lots of fun reading the menu at the oriental restaurant (fruit juice mixes - Spare camel, Bedouin's blood, salads - Baby-camel, Spoilt child of the East)

One of my friends has got magical hands, and she's making loads of cute and pretty stuff.
I asked her if she had something for me to take to my host-family, and she said there were two lovely rabbits in stock. So I booked them. Here they are:
Max and Moritz
Aren't they just amazing?! I will have them by the end of the week. They're flying to London with me!

Then I had to decide on the boy's present. It was too challenging, and I e-mailed my host-mum. While waiting for her reply, I thought of these woodkits for constructing animals or vehicles or ships or planes.
Something like this dreamlike ship:
(and the seagull ofc:) )
And then she e-mailed me back, saying that her son likes puzzles and construction sets :) Perfect, huh? I need to find this wooden thing.

What else.
I've also decided on these pretty bracelets for the girls.
yummy! :D
They are made of polymer clay and look just great. I've got cookie earrings of the same stuff, they look real!)

And yet another pair of bracelets. I need to decide which is best for Renu, or maybe both.
They both look fantastic and so bright. I've seen a picture of Renu with violet and purple clothes on and another one with red bijou on. I'm sure these will do. I'm unsure about that small pink goaty thing :)

And maybe a nice jewelery box. And a box of local chocolates.

Gosh, that's tiring :)

Because ninjas are too busy.

Woah!

Here we go! Another family sent me a message. And ta-dah! they're from Italy. I think I'm gonna be sick! :)

Anyways, I'm going to London. LONDON, baby! :D

Mostly because my dad finally gave his consent to my going to the UK. My parents are so overprotective. I am mid 20ies and they still think I am a toddler. I appreciate it really, but sometimes it is too much. And nothing is good when it's too much, right?

So I am terribly busy these days. I need to have lots of stuff ready. And I printed out a PocketMod for these 2 weeks.
Let's see what I've got there:
meeting my friends, presents for the host-family, tidying up the house, some paperwork to be done, catalogueing my cup collection, packing my suitcase and packing away all my stuff.

I'm sure I can do it. I just need to plan and not waste my time blogging. :D

too busy, aren't they?

Life is not a bowl of cherries.

Oh my! Why didn't I just go to bed?
Now there's another e-mail from a host-family-to-be and 2 more messages on my account page.

First from the UK and the other two from Germany.
Now I'm definitely off to bed.
Cherries :D

How it all started.

Well, not actually all, but some part of it.

I wanted to become an aupair badly. Sounds weird, I know. But that's the way I am. Weirdo.

And when I got back from the UK I knew this was the time. I signed up to a LOT of aupair sites and started searching for the perfect family. Ideally I wanted to go to Italy, cuz my mom lives there and I thought it would be so nice to see her more often. Anyway, it would have been even ok to be in any part of EU, provided I'm not too far from Italy.

But then I had a message from a lovely lady with three children. She wants me to stay with them (not far from London) and look after the kids. We were e-mailing each other, and today she phoned me (and woke me up at midday. Shame on me!)

We called it a deal. So I am booking tickets and packing things, cuz I'm leaving in less than 2 weeks. (omg!)

BUT there's a big but. I can't go to Italy or any other part of EU with my UK visa.

And now what happened a couple of hours ago. I got a message from a nice family from Germany. There's only one kid, a girl of 3 years. And they live in the south of Germany! That is possibly the nearest host family to where my mom is.

I am really confused. Don't know what to do.
I want to go to England, cuz I love England and besides we've called it a deal with the English family.

But then there's Germany, which is so close to Italy and all the EU is before me.

So here's the choice between the bird in the hand and the two in the bush.

My grandma used to say:
If you've got a problem, sleep with it.
Your wish is my command, Oma :)

Appetizer :)

I am confused.

This is what people probably do when they feel confused - start blogging.
Or better make a cup of tea.

I did both.

Let's get it started!

Gorgeous cups, aren't they?
