Damask patterns

I've got a huge collection of pics on my pc, and there are a bunch of pretty backgrounds, and sure there are damask patterns, cuz I love them!

I googled some more of them for you to enjoy.
 black and white

they can be of various colours

and even multicolours
but i don't like these that much.. i'm into monochromatic ones.

there are loads of stuff you can make with damask patterns!
cakes
i want to know how they make it!

cushions

shoes
i would so wear them =)
tablewear
martini collection <3

boxes
furniture

this vintage sofa  looks simple, but nice
using chair covers is a quick and easy way of changing your room's look)
wallpaper and bedding. soo cool)

Clicking on each of these pics will take you to their sources. I strongly recommend you to check out all of them, where you can find even more damask pattern designs of everything.

I googled a bit more, and here's what Wikipedia says about damask and Damascus. Apparantely damask the fabric derived it's name from Damascus.
Arabs call the city Dimashq or al-Shām or (which is more important in my case ^_^ ) Madīnatul Yāsmīn (which literally means 'City of Jasmine')

I guess I'm taken with this pattern cuz it has deep connections with me. Funny though.
Anyways this pattern is a great inspiration for me.
