Most amazing weekend!

Now, ladies and gents, let me tell you 'bout my weekend in Moscow.

I was invited to stay with my most favourite second cousins. I just love them so much, cuz they are truly the best realtives I have (after my parents and sister ofc). There's nothing they won't do for me. And they seldom ask me to do something for them. So you see, they are perfect.

Ofc you might think that I'm taking advantage of their kindness, but that's not true. I hardly see them during the year, and last time I saw them was in September (remember me and my bestest cousin playing UNO?), and before that it was about 3 years ago. So I definitely don't take any advantage. I just love them. And they love me.

Now enough of this sentimental rubbish.

We decided to go to Moscow together with my best friends Milena and Masha. I and Milena took the train to Moscow on Tuesday morning (8:44am, monstrous time, I had to get up at 6am) and Masha was supposed to join us in Moscow on Saturday morning.

So, we were in time for the train, we had some food and drink with us, and we had my UNO cards, and music. We had a whole compartment all to ourselves. That was just great!
Our compartment was a mess, but so cosy :)
We sang songs, and had them recorded to our mobile phones, took tons of pictures and had so much fun, we slept a bit and finally (after a 6-hour journey) we were there.

It was raining when we got into the carriage, and it was raining when we arrived. So we were not in the mood of leaving the cosy compartment and going out into the wet city. My cousin Ara (who was waiting outside) began to worry that we were not coming out, and he met us just at the threshold of the compartment. I was head over heels happy to see him.
Here's Ara, we're already at home.
so shy ;)

and I
First night we played UNO a bit.
i'm not too proud of how I look in this pic :)
We laughed a lot. I laughed so hard that I literally fell on the floor =D Arthur had hard time trying to help me to my feet.

The next day I had some stuff to do in the morning, but in the afternoon we went for a walk, though Anoush and Arthur felt terribly bad, they got cold in the morning. And Arthur had hardly slept at night. We went to this huge mall which is called Yerevan-Plaza. Only it turned out you can't take photos there. So I've got only 12 pics. Here's one of them.
And then one of my best friends Asya came to see me. She brought a lovely bouquet of white tulips. I love tulips, but people always give me roses.
here's the cutie, and my aunt is right behind it)
Then the other one of my second cousins came to visit me (I've got loads of cousins: first, second, third)
Petros, me and Arthur

Ani took a bunch of photos of us all)
it's not hard to tell who's my favourite, right? <3
he's my favourite!
And I suppose I need to finish this post with a lovely tulip photo. Sure, the weekend story is not over yet. I'm terribly sleepy, that's all. =)

Saturdays are my favourite!

So this was one of the loveliest saturdays for quite a long time. I enjoyed it immensely.

I woke up earlier than usually, at about 9am because I had received the wake-up-call from Milena. We had some stuff to do.
So I prepared breakfast for my dad and out I went. It was a lovely morning, though it was a bit gloomy. But it wasn't too cold and the weather was dry. Of course I used the opportunity to wear my white skinny jeans)
and my favourite SUPERGIRL tee) that's really enough for a nice mood)

There are two malls in this city that I love. They are located one opposite the other just in the town center. Both are 4-storey and huge. They are the most modern malls here, launched about 1 or 2 years ago.

As we had to pick a nice present for our friend Narineh, who's gonna get married this December, we went to one of these malls. (shall we call it the T-mall?)
We got a gorgeous silver ring with a handful of semiprecious stones scattered on it. It looked sooo beautiful, we both liked it. Then we chose a cute octagon silver box with a pink ribbon flower on top of the lid (oh, I so regret we didn't take any pictures of them)
the ring looked like this one, only this has diamonds and sapphires)
With that done Milena said she wanted a new coat for this fall. We chose a white one with a snowflake brooch and a large brown belt. It looked so cool on her. And she got another belt - a black one, with a cute bow in the middle.
the snowflake brooch was also made of felt.

In fact we had so much fun doing shopping, we just laughed all the time taunting and teasing each other. Then a taxi took us to a beauty store, which was celebrating it's launch-day (?) and had every item in stock on sale with a 35% discounted price. Just great! So Milena took Agent Provocateur for her mom.
Agent Provocateur
This beauty shop retail network always gets negative responses from the customers. Because when you take something and go to the check out it turns out that the price is higher than it's been displayed on the shelf. So they are terribly sorry but you have to  pay more. It is annoying. Everyone complains about it, but they keep buying things there. I never shop there, only accompany friends when they need something. And I do help.

So Milena got this biggest box of the perfume and headed for the till, the lady at the till said that she was terribly sorry, but there probably had been a mistake and blah blah blah. I got angry. But I kept watching her fake apologetical faces. And when Milena said it's ok, just gimme the damn perfume, I had to say no way. There's a special point about consumer protection that the shop assistant must sell the thing to consumer at the price shown on the price tag. Even if the price isn't up to date and they just hadn't had the time to change it.

I was not shouting, just speaking very clearly and while I was giving the talk more and more customers started paying attention. That was not good for business, so the shop-lady just said - I can't help you with the price matter, but let's just change your discount card for a higher value card. So Milena had a 20% discount card in exchange for her 10% one) in addition to that she got a bunch of perfume and make-up testers, a Givenchy cosmetics bag and a black (worn-out as it turned out later) umbrella.

Then she had to go to work for 12pm and I had a private lesson appointed for the same time. We both were almost in time, just a couple of minutes late which is a rare thing for both of us. We're always horribly late for half an hour or more. )))

When I phoned my student to check if he's in, he asked me if it was possible to postpone the lesson for an hour or so. I said ofc not, I'm already there. He said that his mom would gladly keep me company while he was out for 20 minutes then.

So I chatted with his mom, then he was back and we had a snack (he made it and made me have it!). Then he confessed that when I had mentioned 12pm he'd thought I'd meant half past one. Funny.
After that we practiced English for 2 hours and he said he always enjoyed spending time with me. He literally said that I take him back to his childhood, cuz he can feel so free and easy only with me. And did I mention that he's the hottest guy among all the 19-year-old boys I know. So I definitely enjoy spending time with him too. =)

When we were done I texted Milena to get to their place, cause my student is Narineh's brother and so his mom is Narineh's mom too. And as she's going to stay with her daughter for 3 months we found it a great idea to send the ring with her. Milena was there in 10 minutes. Narineh's mom was moved with all our attention to her dearest daughter, she definitely was on the verge of tears. And she liked the ring! )

After all the warm wishes and embraces we both left, Milena returned to her work and I went to pick up my friend Masha from her work cuz we had some shopping to do that evening. Ofc we went to the same beauty shop, and Masha got a bunch of things for herself, luckily the prices were alright.

We decided to have a dinner at our favourite oriental restaurant which is located in one of the two big malls that I like, only in the M-mall. We refer to this restaurant as Arabica, cuz we don't like it's actual name. =) We found out that that was the last day of Arabica in the M-mall. They are moving to another mall also in the center of the town, but we never go shopping there and we hardly ever pass by it. So, bad choice. We need to find a new place to hang out really soon. Here are a couple of pics from our last evening at our favourite place.
the food has arrived! yay!
Masha
Masha's cappuccino

me and Pharaoh's dream (they named the tea like that xD )

Masha decided to accompany me on my way home, my dad phoned me and said we were out of bread, so we got to this hyper food store, got our shops and each headed home.
Finally I was home, my favourite neighbour called on me and asked if I wanted to go 'round the block in his car. Sure! And we drove a bit in the neighbourhood, laughing our hearts out! Cuz it was the most useless and funny trip in our lives)

To cap it all, my grandma overheard me singing in the kitchen (Selena Gomez's Naturally) and commented that if I had been trained in my early years I could have become a famous singer. Wow, granny!

25 Jan

is my birthday.

And what I found out.
780 Armenia is a minor planet in the asteroid belt orbiting the Sun. Named after Kingdom of Armenia, now Armenia. Now the amazing thing is - it was discovered on the 25th of January 1914 by this noble guy
G. N. Neujmin
Then there's a city of Armenia in Colombia which suffered from a severe earthquake on the 25th January, 1999. (The English Wiki says it was 5.9 ML, the German Wiki insists that it was 7.2, and the Russian one says it's local magnitude was 6.2, the same article in the Armenian Wiki is unfinished and it repeats the Russian version).

I'm going nuts!

After the killing wedding party at Sunday night I was almost devastated physically. And I hardly remember what I dreamed of. But last night I saw Selena Gomez. I know, I know. I like the girl, and I like her songs. But dreaming of her at night? We were laughing at something and talking all sorts of things.
I enjoyed her company immensely )))
She's way cute!

Woah!
I need to update the blog more often, otherwise I won't be able to keep up with all these events happening round here.

So about this night out with my cousins. Nothing special.

Here are two pics.
them
my hair is a mess, i know. who cares anyway?
And that day's sunset was gorgeous!
The next morning I woke up early to catch the sunrise again. The camera battery pack was fully charged and I didn't leave the memory stick behind. Though first I wasn't cycling very fast and realized I could be late. So I quickened a bit.

And I kept turning my head and asking the sun to hold on a bit, don't rush.
When I arrived there - it was still a bit dark.
But that was only because it was cloudy! I was soooo not happy with that)
A couple of pics.
After 10 minutes - not too much difference, right?

The view opposite the sun. Much more catching shades!
The sun has fully risen by now. Any difference?
The church in the distance is the Svensky Monastery.
The sun is still hiding.
Then an engine arrived with it's disgusting smoke and smell and rattle. I couldn't stand it anymore.
If you want to go down there is only one safe way:
The view from down there.
See those two rails on the roof to the left? That's where I usually sit.
From the other side.
After I descended I received a phone call from my dad. He asked me to come and find some really important papers. So I had to rush back home. And was so tired after all this cycling.

Ok. That's enough for now. I really need to sleep.

ps. hope my friends will make it tomorrow. I want to host a pancake party!

Bipolar ideas

I just created this set on Polyvore.com to give a better image of my wearing problems :)

So, I always want to dress in set number 1 and look like that.
But meantime I always end up wearing set number 2. It is disturbing sometimes.

I don't know why it's so, a couple of years ago I wore high-heel pumps all day long and was comfortable with that, but now only the idea of it gives me convulsions.

Which one would you prefer wearing?

Yay!

We're going out with my cousins!
Just after I finish these two cups of tea.
UPD: I added reactions to my posts :D Now anyone can react to them. Hope I don't receive any borings :S

Last night's mare

I went to bed at about half past midnight.

Was trying to read a book to make me sleepy, and then I fell asleep with the book in my hands.

Next thing you know I open my eyes and someone is moving behind my curtains. First I thought it was Rex, but then I realised that the sounds were quite different from my cat's usual sounds. I took the long stick which I'm using to open and close the curtains and opened them just a bit.

And then I was scared! There was a drunk man standing right outside my window with his left hand reaching out for my curtain through the ventlight!!! I didn't shriek but I wish I did, cuz that could have helped me overcome the feeling of horror. He was saying something like "come here. can you hear me? come on, come closer" I tried to push him away with the pole but he just didn't move, and then I just shut the inner-frame ventlight close and drew the curtain. Switched off the light and checked if he was still there. But thank God he was gone.. I closed both outer and inner-frames and tried to calm down..

It was horrifying really. I started feeling so insecure in my house. It was about two in the morning and I couldn't sleep for quite a while.

Now I'm all right. It all feels like a nightmare.

I wish I lived in a multistored house.

Guests! with presents!

So I was struggling not to fall asleep before the guests arrived. Actually one of my second cousins was expected to come and stay for a couple of days.

And honestly, I was sooo tired I thought I could possibly pass out.

Instead I changed (into one of my white jeans and the Supergirl tee which I just LOVE) and applied a bit of make-up (which has been a very rare thing lately) and I surprised myself by making a couple of little braids and then braiding them in a bigger plait. I usually have my hair in a bun on top of my head these days. Simple and out of the way.

The matter is that the last time I met this second cousin who is coming to stay was about 5 years ago. pretty much, huh? though as kids we used to be really close.

I don't have any distinct memories of him as an adult and I assumed that he would feel the same.
So this impression I was going to make was to be literally the first impression, right? And we all know how important it is.

It's not that I'm making too much unnecessary fuss about him. I mean, you have to agree that it would be stupid to meet him in my usual homewear and home hairdo :D

Anyways, turned out he was staying at my uncle's, just a couple of bus-stops towards the city center.
And he brought some quite nice presents :) A bottle of vodka with a box of chocolates. And a lovely shampoo and conditioner set which is perfectly suitable for my rather picky hair! The choice wasn't his, though. His stepmom got it for me. And there's Dad's favourite hand cream! How did she know?

And when he left with my uncle, I couldn't be less tired and sleepy. I was rather agitated that next day I would give him a proper tour of the town!

Next thing you know I am in the kitchen, stuffing my face with pasta and stewed vegies :S I just love carrots, peas and corn as a side-dish. Especially carrots!
And you can imagine my disappointment when everyone (including Dad) refused to have a dinner and had only tea.
So I guess that's why I was annihilating all the food :D So much effort wasn't going to be wasted.

I don't have any pics with this newly arrived cousin, so instead I'm posting this lovely picture of me with Arthur. This one was taken on his birthday. And I assure you, I'm wearing this supergirl T :D which is hard to be distinguished.

Have noting to add to this. So night everyone.

(Next thing you know I'll be starting my entries with: Hi everyone. Geez.)
