I made it bright. And the saturation makes it look like a lomography picture. The original is too foggy, it hurts my eyes.

Photo gallery of photos edited by me (but taken by another person altogether)

I used to have a good friend who used to take crap pictures. Now he's not my good friend anymore and he stopped taking crap photos, sort of. He just takes pictures and I like them now. His old ones though...
But I wanted to tell you another story. I like to edit pictures. I edit mine. And I like to edit other people's photos. So tonight I somehow opened this ex-friends page and saw some pictures (>300 pics), I chose a couple of them, edited and want to publish them here.
Now, please keep in mind that these photos do not belong to me, I didn't take them myself. I just downloaded them and edited. I don't think they are copyrighted, but if they are - I never intended any infringement. Feel free to share with a link back to this page where I explain that the photos aren't mine.
Right.
I'll publish both the original file I downloaded and my version. By default, you'll see my edits. To see the original - just hover the mouse over the picture.
Here are the links to the posts with edited pictures.

Obviously, some of my edits (or maybe all of them) might be hideous to you and hurt your eyes, but I enjoyed editing the pictures and I like my versions. There's hoping that some people out there share my point of view.

Saturday Cuba libre

This few days have been really nice.
On Saturday I had one of my besties over (the other one is moving places, so I'll see her later this week). I had Bacardi and coke and lime. Well, basically I wanted to make some mojitos and sushi, and my neighbours new wife (or really close girlfriend) said she could bring some fresh mint with her (as she was also invited). But then when I called her at noon that day she said she'd be at 6 and she hasn't got mint. So I just decided to make Cuba libre-s instead of mojitos.
My bestie came about midday, we had sushi and tons of Cuba libre-s.
i know, it's a martini glass.
I took some pictures of her. They came out really lovely.
When she left, my other guest finally came and she is so stupid that I don't even want to blog about her.

angels and candles

Hello, everyone!

Just wanted to share/

There's this blissful moment when you're at home and the lights suddenly go out. What you gonna do? Light a candle. (My grandma actually uses a flash-light. Bo-o-oring! I go for candles.

Actually I have a whole bunch of candles and lanterns which I store at the top of a small bookshelf at the top of my piano. Looks great, especially with a piece of gift wrapper with angels, i used it as a wallpaper. Too cute!

And when the lights go out, I grab a box of matches and a flash light for my granny and rush to my room. It's so cool having all those candles in one place. I just mount a chair and start lighting them one by one. Love the job =)

Check out these pics.

I love my collections. This corner of my room is second favourite after the books-and-boxes-shelf corner.

Hope you liked the pics =)

shaped bokeh lights

I've always been enchanted with bokeh lights.. Especially with shaped ones. So before I had my SLR camera, I came across a DIY shaped bokeh lights and vaguely remembered that I need a filter with a cut-out (or punched out) shape: heart, bow, butterfly, star etc.)

So without further ado, I cut out a circle in the size of my camera lens and cut out a BIG heart in the middle of it.I know that's not right. But I always google after I did something and didn't get the desired result.
This is what I got
left bottom corner
right side and at the top
 Look at the indicated areas.
There you can see the edges of my cut-out heart shape. So, easy to guess it was too big.
Then I googled DIY instructions and now I know how to.
I'll try to make a bunch of shapes and have fun one of these days.

I advise you to google some nice pictures of shaped bokeh lights to see what it must look like when done properly.

Most amazing weekend!

Now, ladies and gents, let me tell you 'bout my weekend in Moscow.

I was invited to stay with my most favourite second cousins. I just love them so much, cuz they are truly the best realtives I have (after my parents and sister ofc). There's nothing they won't do for me. And they seldom ask me to do something for them. So you see, they are perfect.

Ofc you might think that I'm taking advantage of their kindness, but that's not true. I hardly see them during the year, and last time I saw them was in September (remember me and my bestest cousin playing UNO?), and before that it was about 3 years ago. So I definitely don't take any advantage. I just love them. And they love me.

Now enough of this sentimental rubbish.

We decided to go to Moscow together with my best friends Milena and Masha. I and Milena took the train to Moscow on Tuesday morning (8:44am, monstrous time, I had to get up at 6am) and Masha was supposed to join us in Moscow on Saturday morning.

So, we were in time for the train, we had some food and drink with us, and we had my UNO cards, and music. We had a whole compartment all to ourselves. That was just great!
Our compartment was a mess, but so cosy :)
We sang songs, and had them recorded to our mobile phones, took tons of pictures and had so much fun, we slept a bit and finally (after a 6-hour journey) we were there.

It was raining when we got into the carriage, and it was raining when we arrived. So we were not in the mood of leaving the cosy compartment and going out into the wet city. My cousin Ara (who was waiting outside) began to worry that we were not coming out, and he met us just at the threshold of the compartment. I was head over heels happy to see him.
Here's Ara, we're already at home.
so shy ;)

and I
First night we played UNO a bit.
i'm not too proud of how I look in this pic :)
We laughed a lot. I laughed so hard that I literally fell on the floor =D Arthur had hard time trying to help me to my feet.

The next day I had some stuff to do in the morning, but in the afternoon we went for a walk, though Anoush and Arthur felt terribly bad, they got cold in the morning. And Arthur had hardly slept at night. We went to this huge mall which is called Yerevan-Plaza. Only it turned out you can't take photos there. So I've got only 12 pics. Here's one of them.
And then one of my best friends Asya came to see me. She brought a lovely bouquet of white tulips. I love tulips, but people always give me roses.
here's the cutie, and my aunt is right behind it)
Then the other one of my second cousins came to visit me (I've got loads of cousins: first, second, third)
Petros, me and Arthur

Ani took a bunch of photos of us all)
it's not hard to tell who's my favourite, right? <3
he's my favourite!
And I suppose I need to finish this post with a lovely tulip photo. Sure, the weekend story is not over yet. I'm terribly sleepy, that's all. =)

Woah!
I need to update the blog more often, otherwise I won't be able to keep up with all these events happening round here.

So about this night out with my cousins. Nothing special.

Here are two pics.
them
my hair is a mess, i know. who cares anyway?
And that day's sunset was gorgeous!
The next morning I woke up early to catch the sunrise again. The camera battery pack was fully charged and I didn't leave the memory stick behind. Though first I wasn't cycling very fast and realized I could be late. So I quickened a bit.

And I kept turning my head and asking the sun to hold on a bit, don't rush.
When I arrived there - it was still a bit dark.
But that was only because it was cloudy! I was soooo not happy with that)
A couple of pics.
After 10 minutes - not too much difference, right?

The view opposite the sun. Much more catching shades!
The sun has fully risen by now. Any difference?
The church in the distance is the Svensky Monastery.
The sun is still hiding.
Then an engine arrived with it's disgusting smoke and smell and rattle. I couldn't stand it anymore.
If you want to go down there is only one safe way:
The view from down there.
See those two rails on the roof to the left? That's where I usually sit.
From the other side.
After I descended I received a phone call from my dad. He asked me to come and find some really important papers. So I had to rush back home. And was so tired after all this cycling.

Ok. That's enough for now. I really need to sleep.

ps. hope my friends will make it tomorrow. I want to host a pancake party!
